In 1989 Paddy was one of 7 international textile artists invited to work with computerized multi-head embroidery machines in an art & industry project organised by Beatrijs Sterk of Deutsches Textileforum, with Z.S.K. Stickmachinen Gessellschaft mbH, Krefeld, Germany. This piece reflects the project & the leit motifs of that summer, and was first exhibited in the 62 Group show, Crossing the Border, at the Collins Gallery, Glasgow.
