In 1995 Paddy was awarded a Northern Arts Major Award to develop new work with diaphanous fabrics, the first of which was to be shown in the Pillar Hall as part of Living at Belsay project at Belsay Hall, Northumberland, during the Year of the Visual Arts. Paddy's response was to "reinstate" statues standing there when the house was occupied. Sir Charles Monck was an architect who built Belsay Hall in Northumberland after returning from his Grand Tour honeymoon.
